Reflexology is based on the premise that your body’s organs, internal and external parts of the body are all connected to specific areas of the foot and hand. By applying pressure to these specific reflex areas on your foot and hand the corresponding organs, nerves or body parts will become stimulated. This stimulation releases blocked energy pathways and therefore enables the body to heal. There are many benefits of reflexology the main 5 benefits are that reflexology is noninvasive and can be performed by you on yourself. Reflexology reduces stress and tension. Reflexology stimulates circulation and helps the body to detoxify. Reflexology is great for pain relief especially from headaches. Lastly reflexology benefits your body by helping your digestive system.

Class Cancellations

January 15, 2011

Many of you know I also act. It is how I pay for my health care and it feeds my soul in a different way than teaching.  Because of this, I occasionally must cancel classes. I do not take these cancellations lightly.  I have never canceled a group class for an audition.  But I have canceled class for a gig.  I do everything in my power to circumvent this from happening.

The Thinking Body-The Feeling Mind® is a unique technique that very few are certified to teach.  Frankly, there are only a handful of us.  I am honored and grateful to have Kristin Kreiger, Gretchen Kreiger and Fumi Naughton sub for me.  They are all accomplished teachers in The Thinking Body – The Feeling Mind® which allows for a rich continuity to your study and practice.  But alas, they are not always available.  Fumi is in Arizona studying to become an Osteopath, Gretchen travels a great deal as she studies Oriental Medicine, and Kristin has her own Homeopathy practice that she cannot abandon.

I am currently training Laura Weekes to substitute for me.  I am also working hard to find other Yoga teachers (who may teach different styles) to join me in the studio.  Soon I hope to never cancel a class. Until that time, I am grateful for your understanding and patience.

Here is the schedule for the next two weeks January 17 – 29
